महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-221, verse-45

नित्यं दानं तथा दाक्ष्यमार्जवं चैव नित्यदा ।
उत्साहश्चानहंकारः परमं सौहृदं क्षमा ॥४५॥
45. nityaṁ dānaṁ tathā dākṣyamārjavaṁ caiva nityadā ,
utsāhaścānahaṁkāraḥ paramaṁ sauhṛdaṁ kṣamā.
45. nityam dānam tathā dākṣyam ārjavam ca eva nityadā
utsāhaḥ ca anahaṅkāraḥ paramam sauhṛdam kṣamā
