महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-221, verse-56

भिक्षां बलिमदत्त्वा च स्वयमन्नानि भुञ्जते ।
अनिष्ट्वा संविभज्याथ पितृदेवातिथीन्गुरून् ॥५६॥
56. bhikṣāṁ balimadattvā ca svayamannāni bhuñjate ,
aniṣṭvā saṁvibhajyātha pitṛdevātithīngurūn.

aniṣṭvā saṃvibhajya atha pitṛdevātithīn gurūn
56. Without giving alms or offerings, and without performing a Vedic ritual (yajña) or distributing food to ancestors, gods, guests, and teachers, they themselves consume the food.
