मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-14, verse-4

शुशोभनायां कैकेय्यामासक्तेन ततो भवान् ।
ऋतुव्यतिक्रमात् प्राप्तो नरकं घोरमीदृशम् ॥४॥
4. śuśobhanāyāṃ kaikeyyāmāsaktena tato bhavān .
ṛtuvyatikramāt prāpto narakaṃ ghoramīdṛśam.
4. śuśobhanāyām kaikeyyām āsaktena tataḥ bhavān
ṛtuvyatikramāt prāptaḥ narakam ghoram īdṛśam
4. Consequently, you, being infatuated with the very beautiful Kaikeyī, incurred such a terrible hell (naraka) due to your transgression concerning the fertile period.
