मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-14, verse-32

तिष्णन्ति तत्र युक्तानि लिङ्गमात्रेण चात्मनि ।
वपुषा मनसा वाचा न कदाचित् क्वचिन्नरः ॥३२॥
32. tiṣṇanti tatra yuktāni liṅgamātreṇa cātmani .
vapuṣā manasā vācā na kadācit kvacinnaraḥ.
32. tiṣṭhanti tatra yuktāni liṅga-mātreṇa ca ātmani
vapuṣā manasā vācā na kadācit kvacit naraḥ
32. These (fruits of karma) remain there, connected to the (individual) self (ātman) only through the subtle body (liṅgamātra). A person (nara) is never (bound) anywhere, at any time, by (their gross) body, mind, or speech.
