महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-122, verse-55

अन्योन्यं तौ महाराज शरवर्षैरवर्षताम् ।
प्रममाथ शिनेः पौत्रं कर्णः सायकवृष्टिभिः ॥५५॥
55. anyonyaṁ tau mahārāja śaravarṣairavarṣatām ,
pramamātha śineḥ pautraṁ karṇaḥ sāyakavṛṣṭibhiḥ.

55. O great king, they both showered each other with barrages of arrows. Karṇa then struck down Śini's grandson (Sātyaki) with his own volleys of arrows.
