महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-122, verse-33

न च तावत्क्षमः पार्थ कर्णेन तव संगरः ।
प्रज्वलन्ती महोल्केव तिष्ठत्यस्य हि वासवी ।
त्वदर्थं पूज्यमानैषा रक्ष्यते परवीरहन् ॥३३॥
33. na ca tāvatkṣamaḥ pārtha karṇena tava saṁgaraḥ ,
prajvalantī maholkeva tiṣṭhatyasya hi vāsavī ,
tvadarthaṁ pūjyamānaiṣā rakṣyate paravīrahan.
33. na ca tāvat kṣamaḥ pārtha karṇena
tava saṅgaraḥ prajvalantī maholkā iva
tiṣṭhati asya hi vāsavī tvadartham
pūjyamānā eṣā rakṣyate paravīrahan
33. ca pārtha,
tāvat tava karṇena saṅgaraḥ na kṣamaḥ.
hi asya vāsavī maholkā iva prajvalantī tiṣṭhati.
paravīrahan,
eṣā tvadartham pūjyamānā rakṣyate.
33. And for now, O Pārtha (pārtha), your battle with Karṇa is not suitable. For indeed, his Vāsavī (Indra's dart) remains, blazing like a great meteor. This (Vāsavī), O slayer of enemy heroes (paravīrahan), is being worshipped and protected for your sake.
