वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-59, verse-8

ते ऽतिकायं समासाद्य वानरा मूढचेतसः ।
शरण्यं शरणं जग्मुर्लक्ष्मणाग्रजमाहवे ॥८॥
8. te'tikāyaṃ samāsādya vānarā mūḍhacetasaḥ ,
śaraṇyaṃ śaraṇaṃ jagmurlakṣmaṇāgrajamāhave.
8. te atikāyam samāsādya vānarāḥ mūḍhacetasaḥ
śaraṇyam śaraṇam jagmuḥ lakṣmaṇāgrajam āhave
8. te mūḍhacetasaḥ vānarāḥ atikāyam samāsādya

8. Having approached Atikāya, those bewildered monkeys sought refuge in battle with Lakṣmaṇa's elder brother (Rāma), their protector.
