वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-59, verse-91

ततस्तदस्त्रं चिक्षेप लक्ष्मणाय निशाचरः ।
वायव्येन तदस्त्रं तु निजघान स लक्ष्मणः ॥९१॥
91. tatastadastraṃ cikṣepa lakṣmaṇāya niśācaraḥ ,
vāyavyena tadastraṃ tu nijaghāna sa lakṣmaṇaḥ.
91. tataḥ tat astram cikṣepa lakṣmaṇāya niśācaraḥ
vāyavyena tat astram tu nijaghāna saḥ lakṣmaṇaḥ
91. tataḥ niśācaraḥ tat astram lakṣmaṇāya cikṣepa
tu saḥ lakṣmaṇaḥ vāyavyena tat astram nijaghāna
91. Then the night-wanderer (demon) hurled that weapon at Lakshmana. But Lakshmana, with the Vāyavya weapon, struck down that very weapon.
