महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-120, verse-64

रुधिरोक्षितसर्वाङ्गः सूतपुत्रः प्रतापवान् ।
शरैः पञ्चाशता वीरः फल्गुनं प्रत्यविध्यत ।
तस्य तल्लाघवं दृष्ट्वा नामृष्यत रणेऽर्जुनः ॥६४॥
64. rudhirokṣitasarvāṅgaḥ sūtaputraḥ pratāpavān ,
śaraiḥ pañcāśatā vīraḥ phalgunaṁ pratyavidhyata ,
tasya tallāghavaṁ dṛṣṭvā nāmṛṣyata raṇe'rjunaḥ.

64. With all his limbs drenched in blood, the mighty Karna (sūtaputra), that hero, retaliated by piercing Arjuna with fifty arrows. Seeing Karna's (sūtaputra) swiftness, Arjuna could not tolerate it in battle.
