महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-2, verse-70

प्राणा हि मम दाराश्च यच्चान्यद्विद्यते वसु ।
अतिथिभ्यो मया देयमिति मे व्रतमाहितम् ॥७०॥
70. prāṇā hi mama dārāśca yaccānyadvidyate vasu ,
atithibhyo mayā deyamiti me vratamāhitam.
70. prāṇāḥ hi mama dārāḥ ca yat ca anyat vidyate
vasu atithibhyaḥ mayā deyam iti me vratam āhitam
70. Indeed, my life, my wives, and whatever other wealth I possess are to be given by me to guests; this is the vow I have undertaken.
