महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-2, verse-5

मनोः प्रजापते राजन्निक्ष्वाकुरभवत्सुतः ।
तस्य पुत्रशतं जज्ञे नृपतेः सूर्यवर्चसः ॥५॥
5. manoḥ prajāpate rājannikṣvākurabhavatsutaḥ ,
tasya putraśataṁ jajñe nṛpateḥ sūryavarcasaḥ.

tasya putra-śatam jajñe nṛpateḥ sūrya-varcasaḥ
5. rājan,

5. O king, Ikṣvāku was the son of Manu, the progenitor. From that king, whose brilliance was like the sun, a hundred sons were born.
