यदि प्रमाणं धर्मस्ते गृहस्थाश्रमसंमतः ।
प्रदानेनात्मनो राज्ञि कर्तुमर्हसि मे प्रियम् ॥५३॥

53. yadi pramāṇaṁ dharmaste gṛhasthāśramasaṁmataḥ ,
pradānenātmano rājñi kartumarhasi me priyam.

53. If the natural law (dharma) approved for the householder stage (āśrama) is an authoritative guide for you, then you should grant my wish by giving me (myself) to the prince.
