मित्रं च मे ब्राह्मणश्चायमात्मा प्रियश्च मे पूज्यतमश्च लोके ।
तं भर्तुकामोऽहमिमां हरिष्ये नृशंसानामीदृशानां न बिभ्ये ॥७३॥

taṁ bhartukāmo'hamimāṁ hariṣye; nṛśaṁsānāmīdṛśānāṁ na bibhye.

Viśvāmitra said: "He is my friend, and this person (ātman) is a Brahmin, dear to me, and the most revered in the world. Desirous of protecting him, I shall take this (food). I am not afraid of such cruel individuals."
