महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-139, verse-39

सोऽहमन्तावसानानां हरमाणः परिग्रहात् ।
न स्तेयदोषं पश्यामि हरिष्याम्येतदामिषम् ॥३९॥

39. so'hamantāvasānānāṁ haramāṇaḥ parigrahāt ,
na steyadoṣaṁ paśyāmi hariṣyāmyetadāmiṣam.

39. I, being in this situation, do not perceive the fault of theft when taking from the possessions of those at the lowest social stratum. I shall seize this food.
