महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-16, verse-58

ततः पार्थस्य बाणौघैरावृताः सैनिकास्तव ।
निमीलिताक्षाः क्षिण्वन्तो भृशमन्योन्यमर्दिताः ।
संन्यस्तकवचा देहैर्विपत्रायुधजीविताः ॥५८॥
58. tataḥ pārthasya bāṇaughairāvṛtāḥ sainikāstava ,
nimīlitākṣāḥ kṣiṇvanto bhṛśamanyonyamarditāḥ ,
saṁnyastakavacā dehairvipatrāyudhajīvitāḥ.

58. Then, your soldiers, enveloped by Arjuna's (Pārtha's) multitude of arrows, their eyes closed, grew exceedingly weary, crushed by one another. Having cast off their armors, their very bodies were deprived of arrows, weapons, and life.
