महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-16, verse-44

ईशानहेतोः प्रतिनिर्मितां तां त्वष्ट्रा रिपूणामसुदेहभक्षाम् ।
भूम्यन्तरिक्षादिजलाशयानि प्रसह्य भूतानि निहन्तुमीशाम् ॥४४॥
44. īśānahetoḥ pratinirmitāṁ tāṁ; tvaṣṭrā ripūṇāmasudehabhakṣām ,
bhūmyantarikṣādijalāśayāni; prasahya bhūtāni nihantumīśām.
44. īśānahetoḥ pratinirmitām tām tvaṣṭrā ripūṇām asudehabhakṣām
bhūmyantarikṣādijalāśayāni prasahya bhūtāni nihantum īśām
44. tvaṣṭrā īśānahetoḥ ripūṇām asudehabhakṣām pratinirmitām tām.

44. For the sake of Īśāna (Śiva), Tvaṣṭā had fashioned her, who would devour the bodies of enemies. She was capable of forcibly destroying beings on the earth, in the sky, and in water reservoirs.
