महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-16, verse-21

नवं ततोऽन्यत्समरे प्रगृह्य राजा धनुर्घोरतरं महात्मा ।
शल्यं तु विद्ध्वा निशितैः समन्ताद्यथा महेन्द्रो नमुचिं शिताग्रैः ॥२१॥
21. navaṁ tato'nyatsamare pragṛhya; rājā dhanurghorataraṁ mahātmā ,
śalyaṁ tu viddhvā niśitaiḥ samantā;dyathā mahendro namuciṁ śitāgraiḥ.
21. navam tataḥ anyat samare pragṛhya
rājā dhanuḥ ghorataram mahātmā | śalyam
tu viddhvā niśitaiḥ samantāt
yathā mahā-indraḥ namucim śita-agraiḥ
21. tataḥ mahātmā rājā samare navam anyat
ghorataram dhanuḥ pragṛhya tu niśitaiḥ
samantāt śalyam viddhvā yathā

21. Then, the great-souled king, having taken up another new and more dreadful bow in battle, having pierced Salya on all sides with sharpened (arrows), just as the great Indra (Mahendra) (pierced) Namuci with sharp-pointed (arrows).
