महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-86, verse-18

निपतद्भिस्तथा तैश्च हयसंघैः परस्परम् ।
शुश्रुवे दारुणः शब्दः सुपर्णपतने यथा ॥१८॥
18. nipatadbhistathā taiśca hayasaṁghaiḥ parasparam ,
śuśruve dāruṇaḥ śabdaḥ suparṇapatane yathā.

18. And by those horse battalions falling upon each other in that manner, a terrible sound was heard, just as in the fall of Suparṇa (Garuda).
