महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-70, verse-84

न हि नः प्रीणयेद्द्रव्यं न देवत्वं कुतः सुखम् ।
न च सर्वामरैश्वर्यं तव रोधेन माधव ॥८४॥
84. na hi naḥ prīṇayeddravyaṁ na devatvaṁ kutaḥ sukham ,
na ca sarvāmaraiśvaryaṁ tava rodhena mādhava.
84. na hi naḥ prīṇayet dravyam na devatvam kutaḥ sukham
na ca sarvāmaraiśvaryam tava rodhena mādhava
84. O Madhava, neither wealth nor godhood would please us. How could there be happiness? Not even sovereignty over all the immortals [would please us] if it meant obstructing you.
