महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-70, verse-30

स तदात्मापराधेन संप्राप्तो व्यसनं महत् ।
सेन्द्रान्गर्हयते देवान्नात्मानं च कथंचन ॥३०॥
30. sa tadātmāparādhena saṁprāpto vyasanaṁ mahat ,
sendrāngarhayate devānnātmānaṁ ca kathaṁcana.
30. sa tadā ātmaparādhena samprāptaḥ vyasanaṃ mahat
sendrān garhayate devān na ātmānaṃ ca kathaṃcana
30. He then, having incurred great misfortune due to his own fault (ātmanaparādha), blames the gods, including Indra, but never blames his own self (ātman) in any way.
