महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-70, verse-80

शमं तत्र लभेयं चेद्युष्मदर्थमहापयन् ।
पुण्यं मे सुमहद्राजंश्चरितं स्यान्महाफलम् ॥८०॥
80. śamaṁ tatra labheyaṁ cedyuṣmadarthamahāpayan ,
puṇyaṁ me sumahadrājaṁścaritaṁ syānmahāphalam.
80. śamam tatra labheyam cet yuṣmadartham āpayan
puṇyam me sumahat rājan caritam syāt mahāphalam
80. "If I can achieve peace there, by securing your interests, O King, then my action would be considered highly meritorious and bear great fruit."
