महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-70, verse-62

न हि वैराणि शाम्यन्ति दीर्घकालकृतान्यपि ।
आख्यातारश्च विद्यन्ते पुमांश्चोत्पद्यते कुले ॥६२॥
62. na hi vairāṇi śāmyanti dīrghakālakṛtānyapi ,
ākhyātāraśca vidyante pumāṁścotpadyate kule.
62. na hi vairāṇi śāmyanti dīrghakālakṛtāni api
ākhyātāraḥ ca vidyante pumān ca utpadyate kule
62. Indeed, enmities do not subside, not even those that have been fostered for a long time. For there are narrators (who recount them), and (new) men are born into the family (who perpetuate them).
