महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-70, verse-44

ये पुनः स्युरसंबद्धा अनार्याः कृष्ण शत्रवः ।
तेषामप्यवधः कार्यः किं पुनर्ये स्युरीदृशाः ॥४४॥

44. ye punaḥ syurasaṁbaddhā anāryāḥ kṛṣṇa śatravaḥ ,
teṣāmapyavadhaḥ kāryaḥ kiṁ punarye syurīdṛśāḥ.

44. ye punaḥ syuḥ asaṃbaddhāḥ anāryāḥ kṛṣṇa śatravaḥ
teṣām api avadhaḥ kāryaḥ kim punar ye syuḥ īdṛśāḥ

44. O Kṛṣṇa, even for those who are unrelated, ignoble (anārya) enemies, killing them is deemed proper. How much more so (should it not be done) for those who are like these (our own relatives)?
