महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-70, verse-18

कुले जातस्य वृद्धस्य परवित्तेषु गृध्यतः ।
लोभः प्रज्ञानमाहन्ति प्रज्ञा हन्ति हता ह्रियम् ॥१८॥
18. kule jātasya vṛddhasya paravitteṣu gṛdhyataḥ ,
lobhaḥ prajñānamāhanti prajñā hanti hatā hriyam.

lobhaḥ prajñānam āhanti prajñā hanti hatā hriyam
18. Greed (lobha) destroys the wisdom (prajñāna) of one born into a (good) family, grown old, and craving others' wealth. And when wisdom (prajñā) is destroyed, that destroyed wisdom (prajñā) destroys modesty (hrī).
