महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-70, verse-22

नातः पापीयसीं कांचिदवस्थां शम्बरोऽब्रवीत् ।
यत्र नैवाद्य न प्रातर्भोजनं प्रतिदृश्यते ॥२२॥
22. nātaḥ pāpīyasīṁ kāṁcidavasthāṁ śambaro'bravīt ,
yatra naivādya na prātarbhojanaṁ pratidṛśyate.
22. na ataḥ pāpīyasīm kāñcit avasthām śambaraḥ abravīt
yatra na eva adya na prātaḥ bhojanam pratidṛśyate
22. Śambara declared that there is no more wretched condition than this, where food is not to be found, neither for today nor for tomorrow morning.
