देवापिः खलु बाल एवारण्यं प्रविवेश ।
शंतनुस्तु महीपालोऽभवत् ।
अत्रानुवंशो भवति ॥४७॥

47. devāpiḥ khalu bāla evāraṇyaṁ praviveśa ,
śaṁtanustu mahīpālo'bhavat ,
atrānuvaṁśo bhavati.

47. devāpiḥ khalu bālaḥ eva araṇyam praviveśa śaṃtanuḥ
tu mahīpālaḥ abhavat atra anuvaṃśaḥ bhavati

47. Devāpi, while still a boy, indeed entered the forest. But Śaṃtanu became the king. Here follows the account of his lineage.

47. דֵוָאפִּי נכנס ליער כשהיה עדיין ילד. שַׁמְטַנוּ הפך למלך הארץ. בעניין זה יש גם בית מתוך מסורת השושלת,
