In the vanguard, Bhīmasena and the two armored sons of Mādrī (Nakula and Sahadeva) advanced. Abhimanyu (Saubhadra), the sons of Draupadī, Dhṛṣṭadyumna, the Pārṣata prince, and the Prabhadrakas along with the Pañcālas, led by Bhīmasena, marched forth.
