vāyuḥ pavanānītam sāsthi tat bhasma,
bhṛśam utsanne svadehe,

That ash, which was brought by the wind and included bones, the wind (vāyuḥ) then applied to its own body, which was greatly decayed, as if observing a vow to the three-eyed god (Śiva).
