महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-30, verse-66

व्रात्यानां दाशमीयानां कृतेऽप्यशुभकर्मणाम् ।
इति पाञ्चनदं धर्ममवमेने पितामहः ।
स्वधर्मस्थेषु वर्णेषु सोऽप्येतं नाभिपूजयेत् ॥६६॥
66. vrātyānāṁ dāśamīyānāṁ kṛte'pyaśubhakarmaṇām ,
iti pāñcanadaṁ dharmamavamene pitāmahaḥ ,
svadharmastheṣu varṇeṣu so'pyetaṁ nābhipūjayet.

aśubhakarmaṇām iti pāñcanadam dharmam
avamene pitāmahaḥ svadharmastheṣu
varṇeṣu saḥ api etam na abhipūjayet

66. The Grandfather (pitāmaha) thus scorned the natural law (dharma) of Pañcanada, deeming it suitable even for Vrātyas, Dāśamīyas, and those of impure actions. He (pitāmaha) would not honor this (dharma) even among social classes (varṇa) who uphold their own intrinsic nature (dharma).
