महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-30, verse-50

मया हिमवतः शृङ्गमेकेनाध्युषितं चिरम् ।
दृष्टाश्च बहवो देशा नानाधर्मसमाकुलाः ॥५०॥
50. mayā himavataḥ śṛṅgamekenādhyuṣitaṁ ciram ,
dṛṣṭāśca bahavo deśā nānādharmasamākulāḥ.
50. mayā himavataḥ śṛṅgam ekena adhyuṣitam ciram
dṛṣṭāḥ ca bahavaḥ deśāḥ nānā-dharma-samākulāḥ
50. mayā ekena himavataḥ śṛṅgam ciram adhyuṣitam
ca nānā-dharma-samākulāḥ bahavaḥ deśāḥ dṛṣṭāḥ
50. I have dwelt alone on a peak of the Himalayas for a long time. I have also seen many countries, each filled with its own diverse natural laws (dharma).
