महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-30, verse-11

पञ्चानां सिन्धुषष्ठानां नदीनां येऽन्तराश्रिताः ।
तान्धर्मबाह्यानशुचीन्बाह्लीकान्परिवर्जयेत् ॥११॥
11. pañcānāṁ sindhuṣaṣṭhānāṁ nadīnāṁ ye'ntarāśritāḥ ,
tāndharmabāhyānaśucīnbāhlīkānparivarjayet.
11. pañcānām sindhuṣaṣṭhānām nadīnām ye antarāśritāḥ
tān dharmabāhyān aśucīn bāhlīkān parivarjayet
11. ye pañcānām sindhuṣaṣṭhānām nadīnām antarāśritāḥ,
tān bāhlīkān dharmabāhyān aśucīn parivarjayet
11. One should completely avoid (parivarjayet) those Bāhlīkas who reside between the five rivers, with the Sindhu as the sixth, as they are outside (dharma) (dharmabāhyān) and impure.
