महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-30, verse-37

न देवाः प्रतिगृह्णन्ति पितरो ब्राह्मणास्तथा ।
तेषां प्रनष्टधर्माणां बाह्लीकानामिति श्रुतिः ॥३७॥

37. na devāḥ pratigṛhṇanti pitaro brāhmaṇāstathā ,
teṣāṁ pranaṣṭadharmāṇāṁ bāhlīkānāmiti śrutiḥ.

37. The gods do not accept (offerings), nor do the ancestors or Brahmins (brāhmaṇa), from those Bāhlīkas whose intrinsic nature (dharma) has been utterly corrupted. Such is the sacred tradition (śruti).
