महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-198, verse-21

सत्यं वदे नाभ्यसूये यथाशक्ति ददामि च ।
देवतातिथिभृत्यानामवशिष्टेन वर्तये ॥२१॥
21. satyaṁ vade nābhyasūye yathāśakti dadāmi ca ,
devatātithibhṛtyānāmavaśiṣṭena vartaye.

21. I speak the truth and do not criticize others. I give according to my capacity, and I subsist on what remains after serving deities, guests, and dependents.
