गतिं खर इवाश्वस्य हंसस्येव च वायसः ।
नान्वेतुमुत्सहे देव तव मार्गमरिंदम ॥५॥
5. gatiṃ khara ivāśvasya haṃsasyeva ca vāyasaḥ ,
nānvetumutsahe deva tava mārgamariṃdama.
5. gatim kharaḥ iva aśvasya haṃsasya iva ca vāyasaḥ
na anvetum utsahe deva tava mārgam ariṃdama
5. deva ariṃdama kharaḥ aśvasya gatim iva ca vāyasaḥ

5. O Lord, O vanquisher of foes, I am unable to follow your path, just as a donkey cannot keep pace with a horse, nor a crow with a swan.
