परीक्षार्थं भगवतां कृतमेतन्मयानघाः ।
रक्षणार्थं च सर्वेषां भवतामहमागतः ॥७८॥

78. mayā hyantarhitānīha bisānīmāni paśyata ,
parīkṣārthaṁ bhagavatāṁ kṛtametanmayānaghāḥ ,
rakṣaṇārthaṁ ca sarveṣāṁ bhavatāmahamāgataḥ.

Indeed, these lotus stalks were hidden here by me—look at them! This was done by me, O sinless ones, for the purpose of testing you venerable sages. And I have come for the protection of all of you.
