गण्डोवाच ।
अनृतं भाषतु सदा साधुभिश्च विरुध्यतु ।
ददातु कन्यां शुल्केन बिसस्तैन्यं करोति या ॥७२॥

72. gaṇḍovāca ,
anṛtaṁ bhāṣatu sadā sādhubhiśca virudhyatu ,
dadātu kanyāṁ śulkena bisastainyaṁ karoti yā.

virudhyatu dadātu kanyām śulkena bisastainyam karoti yā

72. Gaṇḍa said: "Let her always speak untruth and contradict the virtuous. Let her give her daughter for a bride-price, she who commits the theft of lotus-stalks."
