एवमेते महात्मानो भोगैर्बहुविधैरपि ।
क्षुधा परमया युक्ताश्छन्द्यमाना महात्मभिः ।
नैव लोभं तदा चक्रुस्ततः स्वर्गमवाप्नुवन् ॥८३॥

naiva lobhaṁ tadā cakrustataḥ svargamavāpnuvan.

In this way, these great-souled individuals, despite being afflicted by extreme hunger and offered various enjoyments by other great souls, certainly did not succumb to greed at that time. Consequently, they attained heaven.
