ऋषय ऊचुः ।
सर्व एव क्षुधार्ताः स्म न चान्यत्किंचिदस्ति नः ।
भवत्याः संमते सर्वे गृह्णीमहि बिसान्युत ॥२२॥

22. ṛṣaya ūcuḥ ,
sarva eva kṣudhārtāḥ sma na cānyatkiṁcidasti naḥ ,
bhavatyāḥ saṁmate sarve gṛhṇīmahi bisānyuta.

22. The sages said: 'All of us are indeed tormented by hunger, and we have nothing else. With your kind permission, we shall all take the lotus stalks.'
