Śunaḥsakha said: "He who indeed steals lotus-stalks, despite being a brahmin (vipra) who has studied the Atharva (Veda) and undergone the purificatory bath, let him give his daughter to an Adhvaryu or Chhandoga priest who has observed celibacy (brahmacarya)."
