नैति योगमयोगोऽपि तं योगमधुना वद ॥८॥

Where my soul (ātman), extremely attached, is bound by the fetters of transmigration (saṃsāra), it does not attain true union (yoga), even though it may be devoid of spiritual discipline (ayoga). Therefore, explain that (true) discipline (yoga) to me now.
