महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-34, verse-58

क्षीयमाणे ततः सोमे ओषध्यो न प्रजज्ञिरे ।
निरास्वादरसाः सर्वा हतवीर्याश्च सर्वशः ॥५८॥
58. kṣīyamāṇe tataḥ some oṣadhyo na prajajñire ,
nirāsvādarasāḥ sarvā hatavīryāśca sarvaśaḥ.

58. Then, as the Moon god (soma) began to wane, medicinal plants (oṣadhi) ceased to grow. All of them became completely devoid of taste and essence, and entirely lost their potency.
