महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-34, verse-35

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
तीर्थानां विस्तरं राजन्गुणोत्पत्तिं च सर्वशः ।
मयोच्यमानां शृणु वै पुण्यां राजेन्द्र कृत्स्नशः ॥३५॥
35. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
tīrthānāṁ vistaraṁ rājanguṇotpattiṁ ca sarvaśaḥ ,
mayocyamānāṁ śṛṇu vai puṇyāṁ rājendra kṛtsnaśaḥ.

35. Vaiśampāyana said: "O King (rājan), O lord of kings (rājendra), listen carefully and completely to the extensive account of these sacred places (tīrtha) and the origin of their merits, which I am about to narrate."
