महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-34, verse-5

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
उपप्लव्ये निविष्टेषु पाण्डवेषु महात्मसु ।
प्रेषितो धृतराष्ट्रस्य समीपं मधुसूदनः ।
शमं प्रति महाबाहो हितार्थं सर्वदेहिनाम् ॥५॥
5. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
upaplavye niviṣṭeṣu pāṇḍaveṣu mahātmasu ,
preṣito dhṛtarāṣṭrasya samīpaṁ madhusūdanaḥ ,
śamaṁ prati mahābāho hitārthaṁ sarvadehinām.
5. vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | upaplavyeye niviṣṭeṣu
pāṇḍaveṣu mahātmasu | preṣitaḥ
dhṛtarāṣṭrasya samīpam madhusūdanaḥ |
śamam prati mahābāho hitārtham sarvadehinām
5. vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca mahābāho,
mahātmasu pāṇaveṣu upaplavyeye niviṣṭeṣu,
madhusūdanaḥ sarvadehinām hitārtham śamam prati dhṛtarāṣṭrasya samīpam preṣitaḥ.
5. Vaiśampāyana said: When the great-souled Pāṇḍavas had settled in Upaplavya, Kṛṣṇa (Madhusūdana) was sent, O mighty-armed king, to Dhṛtarāṣṭra's presence for the sake of peace and the welfare of all embodied beings.
