महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-34, verse-18

एवं संदिश्य तु प्रेष्यान्बलदेवो महाबलः ।
तीर्थयात्रां ययौ राजन्कुरूणां वैशसे तदा ।
सरस्वतीं प्रतिस्रोतः समुद्रादभिजग्मिवान् ॥१८॥
18. evaṁ saṁdiśya tu preṣyānbaladevo mahābalaḥ ,
tīrthayātrāṁ yayau rājankurūṇāṁ vaiśase tadā ,
sarasvatīṁ pratisrotaḥ samudrādabhijagmivān.

18. O king (rājan), after thus instructing his messengers, the mighty Baladeva (baladeva) then set out on a pilgrimage to sacred places (tīrthayātrā) at the time of the great slaughter of the Kurus. He travelled upstream along the Sarasvati (sarasvatī) starting from the ocean.
