महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-34, verse-34

यथाक्रमं च भगवंस्तीर्थानामनुपूर्वशः ।
ब्रह्मन्ब्रह्मविदां श्रेष्ठ परं कौतूहलं हि मे ॥३४॥
34. yathākramaṁ ca bhagavaṁstīrthānāmanupūrvaśaḥ ,
brahmanbrahmavidāṁ śreṣṭha paraṁ kautūhalaṁ hi me.
34. yathākramam ca bhagavan tīrthānām anupūrvaśaḥ
brahman brahmavidām śreṣṭha param kautūhalam hi me

34. Janamejaya continued: "O revered one (bhagavan), and O Brāhmaṇa, O best among the knowers of the Absolute (brahman), please tell me about these sacred places (tīrtha) in their proper sequence and order. Indeed, my curiosity is immense."
