महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-309, verse-85

न तेषां भवता कार्यं न कार्यं तव तैरपि ।
स्वकृतैस्तानि यातानि भवांश्चैव गमिष्यति ॥८५॥

85. na teṣāṁ bhavatā kāryaṁ na kāryaṁ tava tairapi ,
svakṛtaistāni yātāni bhavāṁścaiva gamiṣyati.

svakṛtaiḥ tāni yātāni bhavān ca eva gamiṣyati

85. You have no obligation towards them, nor do they have any obligation towards you. They have departed based on their own deeds (karma), and you too will certainly depart.
