महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-112, verse-68

ततो विज्ञातचारित्रः सत्कृत्य स विमोक्षितः ।
परिष्वक्तश्च सस्नेहं मृगेन्द्रेण पुनः पुनः ॥६८॥
68. tato vijñātacāritraḥ satkṛtya sa vimokṣitaḥ ,
pariṣvaktaśca sasnehaṁ mṛgendreṇa punaḥ punaḥ.

68. Then, his character (cāritra) being understood, he was honored and released. And he was affectionately embraced repeatedly by the king of beasts (mṛgendra).
