मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-3, verse-27

इत्युक्त्वा पुनरप्येनमपृच्छत् स द्विजोत्तमः ।
आहारः कस्तवार्थाय उपकल्प्यो भवेन्मया ।
स चाह नरमांसेन तृप्तिर्भवति मे परा ॥२७॥
27. ityuktvā punarapyenamapṛcchat sa dvijottamaḥ .
āhāraḥ kastavārthāya upakalpyo bhavenmayā .
sa cāha naramāṃsena tṛptirbhavati me parā.
27. iti uktvā punaḥ api enam apṛcchat
saḥ dvijottamaḥ āhāraḥ kaḥ tava arthāya
upakalpyaḥ bhavet mayā saḥ ca
āha naramāṃsena tṛptiḥ bhavati me parā
27. Having said this, that best of Brahmins (dvijottama) again asked him, 'What kind of food should I prepare for you?' And he replied, 'I achieve supreme satisfaction from human flesh.'
