महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-22, verse-78

प्रहरन्तो यथाशक्ति यावत्प्राणस्य धारणम् ।
योधाः परिपतन्ति स्म वमन्तो रुधिरं व्रणैः ॥७८॥
78. praharanto yathāśakti yāvatprāṇasya dhāraṇam ,
yodhāḥ paripatanti sma vamanto rudhiraṁ vraṇaiḥ.
