महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-22, verse-4

तावकानां परेषां च देवासुररणोपमम् ।
परेषां तव सैन्ये च नासीत्कश्चित्पराङ्मुखः ॥४॥
4. tāvakānāṁ pareṣāṁ ca devāsuraraṇopamam ,
pareṣāṁ tava sainye ca nāsītkaścitparāṅmukhaḥ.
4. tāvakānām pareṣām ca deva-asura-raṇa-upamam |
pareṣām tava sainye ca na āsīt kaścit parāṅmukhaḥ
4. tāvakānām ca pareṣām [yuddham] deva-asura-raṇa-upamam
ca pareṣām tava sainye kaścit parāṅmukhaḥ na āsīt
4. The battle between your forces and those of the enemy was like a war between gods and demons. And in both the enemy's army and your own, no one turned their back in retreat.
